Posted on 1 March, 2007 by Emma Duke-Williams

Intel unveils medical tablet It will be interesting to see if it takes off. It’s reasonably light (3.1 lb), has been designed with the hospital environment in mind (washable), so I think it’s a case of watch and see.

ExPERT Centre Opening – Dummies that die

Posted on 8 December, 2006 by Emma Duke-Williams

December 6th.. This went really well, though I did get caught on camera mopping the floor. At least our dummies won’t get MRSA!

It was also on the ITV local news (Go to news & features, then select Meridian Tonight – South for Dec 6th. They only archive them for a week).

Image of Emma, looking relaxed!
I'm Emma Duke-Williams, a lecturer in the School of Computing at the University of Portsmouth, with a particular interest in the use of IT to support learning and assessment. Having previously been a Special Needs teacher, I'm also very interested in accessibility of online materials.
Other roles in the department include Year 1 co-ordinator, MSc tutor - and various other behind the scenes web-related things! When not working, I like to travel - the picture was taken on the Soren Larsen, while at anchor in Ureparapara, Vanuatu.
